About National Health Center Week
National Health Center Week (NHCW) is a week-long celebration taking place August 7th – 13th. This week celebrates and raises awareness to the mission, resillience, and accomplishments of Health Centers in the U.S. This year's theme "Community Health Centers: The Chemistry for Strong Communities" reminds us of the key elements our health centers utilize to shape a healthy and equitable environment that include our most vulnerable communities.
This past year, our Community Health Centers demonstrated their commitment and dedication to serve the needs of the community. Not only do they offer support in moments of loss and pain, but also offer a vision and hope for the future, serving as a beacon of strength, care, and service to the community. National Health Center spotlights the role of Community Health Centers during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and honors the front line providers, staff, and patients who lost their lives during this difficult time.
Santa Cruz County will join thousands of communities across the nation to recognize and celebrate the innovative work of health centers. See below for our Health Centers' local events that will be happening during NHCW. Follow the conversation using #ValueCHCs or #NHCW2022
